Dr. Siegele completed his undergraduate training at Boston University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree with honors. He was born in Costa Rica but grew up in the Houston-area, and following his undergraduate studies, quickly returned to the Houston warmth to obtain his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Siegele would continue his training at The Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine where he completed three years of general psychiatry training.
After earning the Excellence in Child Psychiatry Award, he was subsequently awarded fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine to hone his skills in serving this unique population. After the first year into this two-year fellowship, he decided to join the Memorial Psychiatry team to serve both children and adults. Dr. Siegele has trained in clinics specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder and has a personal interest in the diagnosis and treatment of Autism. He has special interest in anxiety and OCD-related disorders and has previously participated in research in their assessment and treatment. Dr. Siegele is proficient in Spanish and welcomes serving primarily Spanish-speaking patients in Houston.
